The Friends of Basrah Museum’s current work on the Basrah Museum Project is supported by a large Cultural Protection Fund grant awarded in December 2016 and managed by the British Council in partnership with the Department for Digital, Culture Media & Sport (DCMS).

The first phase of the project was made possible through the generosity of the following donors without whom the installation of the Basrah Gallery would not have been possible. The FOBM Trustees express their appreciation to the Culture Protection Fund for the grant for the completion of the Basrah Museum. 

With the award of the CPF grant, work on the FOBM CPF project commenced January 2017 and will be completed in March 2019.
